Well, we do DPS and have those fancy mod-rods. We all know that. What else?

COTH: It's a really great ability that allows easier travel to many places for others. A mage should get to know the way around in Norrath using safe-invis and such to get to where the raid needs to go as quickly as possible, so you can set up a COTH-booth for those who don't know where to go or have no means to self-safe-invis (invis potions break. It's a fact!). Your primary objective is always to stay alive. The raid would most likely have you do no more then that if they had their choice.

However you are a HUGE DPS caster on mobs that live more then like 60 seconds.

Our job is to kill everything the main assist points out as quickly as possible. The faster the better.
We don't kill anything fast if we get aggro and die. That only makes us dead.

So we need to:
- Follow orders so we don't mess up and get the entire raid killed.
- manage our aggro unless told otherwise (Very rare). (get the AAs and the epic 1.5 if you need to. Oasis helps with that)
